The goal of AEPMR’s activity is to give adult general, cultural and social training domain a European dimension. Given the wide range of fields in adult education and the large number of potentially generated activities, the measures are limited to promoting the European dimension. AEPMR’s actions are a constant, continuous effort and promote the concept of European citizenship and the foundation of individual norms, rules and principles common to all European countries.

AEPMR aims to:

organize courses / summer schools for encouraging the co-production of training materials for adults;
develop training modules for adults;
prepare joint projects in the following fields: information society, environmental protection, art, science and technology, regional or local identity;
work on creating brochures and databases on the institutions involved in adult education or in the production of educational materials containing Europe-related topics;
work on creating guidelines or files concerning the new forms of adult education financing or organizing, which have been validated in some participating countries and may be transferred or tested in other countries;
organize meetings and exchanges between citizens of different countries on topics related to Europe;
work on comparative studies concerning the GRUNDTVIG methodology and the development of training modules for trainers in the GRUNDTVIG field.
use distance learning as a method of training;
train teachers / instructors on how to use the new information technologies;
facilitate access to European training activities;
make the opportunities distance learning offers in training disadvantaged adults widely known
